Siam Niramit Phuket Show Review

Thanks to Trazy, we managed to catch one of the biggest cultural shows in Phuket, Siam Niramit while we were there. Trazy.com is an online platform that helps travellers get discounted tickets to many attractions and events in South Korea and Thailand. Read on to find out how much you stand to save if you purchase your Siam NIramit tickets with Trazy.

For now, here’s a short Siam Niramit Phuket show review for those of you who are planning to visit.

Siam Niramit Phuket Pre-show Activities

The show’s website kindly advised visitors to arrive at the venue as early as 5pm when their gates open to enjoy the pre-show activities and they were right to do so. Even though the performance only started at 8.30pm, there are many activities and sights to enjoy before the show.

The Thai Village

The Thai Village at Siam Niramit receives visitors from the opening time at 5pm. Personally, I really enjoyed this part of my experience at Siam Niramit.

Northern Thailand housing style in the Siam Niramit Thai Village

The village is a mini-complex that showcases the Thai culture and lifestyle. There were several areas in the village including replicas of the Northern-style and Southern-style of traditional Thai housing.

There were also areas in the Thai Village where guests are able to try out various freshly made traditional Thai street snacks without additional cost (they tasted amazing too!).

If you’re up for photos, there are some many free photo spots here. For those who want to, you can also rent a Thai traditional costume with your family or friends and take as many pictures as you want in the studio at the village.

The Thai Village at Siam Niramit is also child-friendly. There are many activities for children to enjoy from the mini traditional arcade area to the free fish feed provided specially for children.

Amazing Buffet Spread at Siam Niramit

Other than the Thai Village, you can also opt to have your dinner at Siam Niramit’s buffet restaurant before the show. Dinner is served daily from 5.30 to 8.15pm here but I would recommend finishing your meal before 7.30pm to watch the pre-show entertainment (more details in the next section).

I was (pleasantly) surprised to see how huge the buffet spread was. They served everything from Thai food to Chinese and Indian food here. In terms of taste, the Thai food was fairly good for a buffet. I especially enjoyed the glass noodle salad and Thai curry noodle soup.

Pre-show Entertainment

Siam Niramit’s schedule

After the heartwarming, huge spread of food at the dinner buffet, it was time for the pre-show entertainment events. These are mini-shows at the outdoor area of the complex before the actual show starts. There were Thai boxing, traditional welcome dance performances and a short elephant war parade.

The Thai boxing segment was a bit hard to enjoy as the boxing ring was at the side of the outdoor parade complex and there wasn’t enough space for everyone to see it close-up. I would recommend just finding a seat at the main parade area to get the best seats for the dance performances and elephant war parade.

The dance performances were fun and nice as they got the audiences involved.

The elephant war parade was also quite cool although it was disappointing that only one elephant appeared at the parade. Pro-tip: The parade will stand in a formation in the square and then guests will be invited to take photos with the crew. Be sure to immediately stand and go to in front of the elephant as fast as possible before the crowd comes if you want a nice, clean photo. We were too late and it was impossible to get a shot once everyone realises that they can take a close-up photo there.

The Siam Niramit Show

After the end of the pre-show entertainment, we were all advised to make our move into the theatre. We weren’t allowed to take any photos during the show and all cameras must be stored in their lockers before we enter the theatre so I don’t have any to show from this point.

The show lasted around 1.5 hours without any intermission in between. Throughout the show, we were all impressed by the stunning sets and amazing effects of the performance. Just as they advertised, a river suddenly appeared as part of the set. The thunderstorm scene and the scenario where the paddy field became yellow from green were especially memorable and impressive.

Unfortunately, the show did not have a clear plot and it can be quite boring to watch if the stage effects are not enough to entertain you. It would have been way better if the different acts were connected by a plot.

Siam Niramit Phuket Ticket Price and Entry

If you purchase your ticket on the spot or through Siam Niramit’s website, the price of our platinum seat tickets and buffet would have cost us 2,300 THB per person. However, thanks to Trazy, you can get up to 35% off Siam Niramit tickets! Make sure you make your reservations through Trazy before your trip.

Seat recommendation

As you can see from the seating plan above, platinum ticket holders sit right in the middle of the theatre. This is indeed the best seat as in some scenes, there were acts in between the corridor behind S1, S2, G1, S3 and S4. Thus people seated in these areas would not be able to enjoy some parts of the show properly. If you are not willing to pay for platinum seats, just make sure you are not seated in the front segment of the theatre and it should be okay.

Getting to Siam Niramit Phuket

We rented a car while in Phuket so we just followed Google Maps’ directions (it works well in Phuket!) and reached the venue without any problem. If you are not planning to rent a car in Phuket, I would recommend getting the transport option when purchasing your ticket from Trazy. The transport options would mean that there will be a van to pick you up from your accommodation to get to the show complex.

That’s the end of my Siam Niramit Phuket show review. I will be sharing my Phuket itinerary soon, so make sure you follow me on Instagram or Facebook to stay updated!

  1. […] We ended our cultural exploration day with a bang at Siam Niramit. Siam Niramit is not just any cultural show, audiences get to learn & experience the Thai culture for themselves as they walk through the Thai Village which is part of the show’s entrance. You can also enjoy a great selection of international dinner buffet before the show starts. Check out my full review of the Siam Niramit show here. […]
